The apartment is located only 50 meters away from Largo Argentina, where an important archeological testimony dating from the 4th century B.C. can still be admired. It presents furnishings and finishes of extreme value, fully respecting the style and context in which the apartment is immersed. The fortunate location of the street allows moving by foot in all the area of historic interest. The house has a characteristic ceiling of wooden beams and 5th century style bricks which render the house particularly suggestive. Historical signals Via Monterone is located in the full heart of the historical center of Rome, connecting Piazza de la Rotonda (Pantheon) with Piazza di Largo Argentina. Formerly, this street was named “via dei Vettori” thanks to the palace owned by this family; later the name changed to Monterone honoring the Sienese family of the Monteroni who owned many houses in that street and also the patronage of the Church of Saint Mary located in the same site. The church was probably built above the Temple of the Good Event dating from 1st century A.D., from which the ancient church took advantage of the walls.
